Privacy Policy

Account information. When you join, we collect your name and email address. You may optionally provide a phone number. Membership is free; we never ask for payment card information for membership.

Redemption information. When you redeem a deal by presenting your personal QR code at a partner venue, we record the venue, the date and time, the deal redeemed, and the pre-discount and post-discount bill amount as reported by venue staff. This record is used to validate the discount and to calculate your cumulative savings.

Location information. If you grant permission, we use your device's approximate location to show deals near you. Location data is used in real time for that purpose only and is not stored on our servers as part of your profile.

Usage information. Like most websites, we receive standard technical data from your browser (for example, browser type and pages visited) to keep the site working and to understand aggregate usage.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your free membership and personal QR code;
• Validate deal redemptions at partner venues and apply discounts;
• Display your savings totals and membership benefits;
• Send you service communications and, where you have opted in, deal alerts and updates;
• Detect fraud and misuse of deals and codes;
• Report aggregate, de-identified statistics to partner venues (for example, total redemptions per venue).

Your membership QR code is a unique identifier for your account. When staff at a partner venue scan it, the scan is logged against your membership so the venue can confirm you are an active member and apply the correct discount. The redemption record includes the venue, the deal, the date and time, and the bill amounts staff enter.

Redemption records are shared with the specific venue where the redemption occurred for accounting and dispute purposes. We do not display your individual redemption history to other members or to venues where you have not redeemed a deal.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your email address or phone number with partner venues, and we do not permit venues to contact you directly through the platform. Partner venues receive only aggregate, de-identified performance statistics, except for the redemption records described in Section 3.

We may share information with service providers who help us operate the site (for example, hosting and email delivery), under agreements that restrict their use of your data to providing services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of VDM, our members, or our partners.

We keep your membership data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your membership, we remove or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except for records we must retain for accounting, fraud prevention, or legal reasons. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may at any time:

• Access, correct, or delete the personal information associated with your membership;
• Opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us;
• Withdraw device location permission in your browser settings at any time; and
• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

Residents of states with consumer privacy laws (including Nevada and California) may have additional statutory rights regarding access, deletion, and the sale of personal data. As stated in Section 4, we do not sell personal data, so no opt-out of a sale is necessary; you may still contact us to exercise your access and deletion rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
